Special Gifts for the First Sunday of Advent
Did you know that there are a group of young people preparing materials to help get all of us ready for Advent?
A young spokesperson shared with us that, “Sunday, November 28 is the first Sunday of Advent, and we will give out calendars and prayer books and wreaths. We’ll set up the tables before church, starting at 9:30. And we’ll give out everything after church around 11am.
People can get things after church if they were there, and if they couldn’t come, they can drop by after church to pick up. If you’d like to make a wreath for your family you can join us after the service at 11:00.” Thank you to these amazing young folks for their love and care of us.
Three Thursdays in Advent: A book study with Rev. Caz
Join The Rev. Caz Ducros in an Advent series of discussions on the book God in the Pandemic: A Christian Reflection on the Coronavirus by N.T. Wright. Complete details are here.
Ordination to the Priesthood of our Very Own Rev. Caz
God willing, Bishop Shane intends to ordain Caroline Ducros, Mark Lewis, Cynthia MacLachlan, and Robert Sicard to the priesthood, at 11 am on The Eve of the Feast of St. Clement of Alexandria, Saturday, December 4, 2021, in Christ Church Cathedral. Everyone who wishes to attend in person must wear a mask and must be prepared to show proof of vaccination and provincial photo ID (unless they are aged 12 or under or can show a vaccination exemption). The service will be live-streamed here. Come out if you can and show your support! Diocesan ordinations are wonderful celebrations of God’s work among us.
