“Mary can become a vibrant character in our lives of faith: a model of trust in God; a comforter, a prophet, and even an activist.”
|We are back in-person in a limited capacity (restrictions apply) as of Sept. 12.|
Online worship has been an important part of the parish’s life these last 18 months with many new faces joining our community. With that in mind, we are offering a hybrid service, meaning that the in-person service will be live-streamed for the online congregation.

– Rev. Simone
I am very excited to get started as your new incumbent after the many weeks since my coming to you was announced. It was so lovely to be welcomed by a beautiful basket of goodies in my office yesterday morning.
I’ve already had meetings with Annie, Chad, Ron, Michelle, Nicholas, and Lila. What an awesome leadership team! They’ve already helped me reduce my list of “things I don’t know I don’t know about!”
My priority this week is preparing for Sunday’s worship service and starting to get to know you better. Given that we won’t be welcoming folks back into the physical church building until September, I’m proposing three ways that we can start to get to know each other between now and then:
- Meet me for an outdoor chat – I’ll be setting up some chairs on the south side of the church on the grassy patch along Daly Ave. If you’re interested, please reply to this email and we can set up a day and time that suits.
- Send me a photo of yourself and a brief bio by replying to this email. If you’d like, you can include how long you’ve been coming to St. Al’s and why. Perfectly okay if you’d prefer not to send a photo, I’d just love to hear from you. To get things started, I’ve attached a photo of me and our family dog Reggie.
- Send me a friend request on Facebook and a DM introducing yourself.
This is the email address I’ll be using, so please don’t ever hesitate to drop me a note. My sabbath days are Monday and Saturday but I am available anytime for pastoral emergencies. It’s best to call my cell phone (613-864-5310) in an emergency.
So thrilled to be with you as we begin this part of St. Albans journey together!
