2020 Giving Campaign

In these unusual times of social distancing and social restrictions, it has been more important than ever to maintain community connections and contact. We at St Albans would like to thank all those who have supported us as we have tried to meet the challenge of these times – by creating opportunities for connection through online worship, other virtual gatherings, and reopening our doors for worship in the church building in a safe and secure manner.

Once a year, we ask that our community members and supporters prayerfully consider their contribution to St Albans’ mission over the coming year. We would ask that you:

Use the form here to:

  • Make a financial pledge for the coming year; and
  • Let us know about ministries and activities in which you would like to be further involved.

Click here to fill out the form!

For further information on how your financial donations are used, please click here.

Should you have any questions or need further information, please feel free to contact any member of our Giving Team:

  • Mark Whittall, Incumbent (rev.mark@stalbanschurch.ca)
  • Ron Chaplin, People’s Warden (rchaplin@netrover.com)
  • Michelle Sorenson, Deputy Warden (michelle.sorenson@ualberta.ca)
  • Paula MacPherson, Parish Council (paulamac@sympatico.ca)

Thank you for your prayers and your support.

St. Al’s Stories: Our DJ Meganne

Meganne Woronchak, a classical pianist all her life, walked into a St. Albans band practice rocking out to Joyful Joyful We Adore Thee and said she felt a bit overwhelmed. She was impressed with the loudness and the progressive sound of the guitars, something she’d never experienced before.

“I was somehow drawn to it,” she said. Since that practice in July 2014, she’s been part of the band. And now she said “they make fun of me and say, not many people come on their first week and just never leave!”

St. Albans 101

Join us on Thursday November 19 at 7:30pm on Zoom for St. Albans 101: An Introduction to St. Albans Church for Newcomers and Oldtimers. So many of you have joined us since we went online in March that we thought it was time to let you know a bit more about our church community and answer some of your questions. We’ll talk about our vision, our history, our mission and ministry priorities, our governance, our finances, what it means to be part of our community and what it means to be a parish of the Anglican Church of Canada. All are welcome to join us, newcomers and oldtimers alike. This event will be hosted by Rev. Mark. Check your email, or email rev.mark@stalbanschurch.ca for the Zoom link.
